Fire on Asphalt Plant Road

A fire on Wednesday afternoon completely destroyed a mobile home at 118 Asphalt Plant Road.

The home, owned by Victor and Chan Strickland, was being leased to Michael Passmoore.  Passmoore was not home at the time of the fire.  The mobile home and everything inside was a total loss.

Decatur County Fire and Rescue and several area volunteer units responded to the fire that was reported by a neighbor.  EMS treated one Brinson firefighter for heat exhaustion.
