Hello, Bowlers!

Hooray!!  Summer's just about here.  School is nearly out and vacations are just aound the corner.  AND our Summer Activities are just taking off.  If you always wanted to join a league,but were afraid you aren't "good enough", see me on Saturdays from noon til 2 pm and I'll make a bowler out of you, guaranteed!

Here's a short list of WHATS HAPPENING with us.  Monday Night Mixed has already started, but I need one team to fill it.  NFL on Tuesdays is a doubles with a peterson point system. It starts May 19.  Thursday Masters pays $2,000.00 first place in the summer.  It starts May 21. 

Friday Night Rollers Doubles starts May 22.  The kids bowl on Tuesdays in the summer and they are scheduled to start on May 26.  "Weird Wednesdays", with $1.25 bowling, is an open play family event that is not structured, but has lots of games and trivia.  This starts May 27, from 5 pm to closing.

Now on to the scores!

The Monday Night Mixed League was won by "Underdawgs"!  The best scores were shot by Kyle Medley rolling a nice 236, Earl Starling with a 229, and Alan Giles rolled a 227.  Evelyn Hughes bowled a 198 game to lead the ladies in scoring. Bobby Langston  had the top series of 626, Evelyn led the ladies with 568.

The Spring Edition of the Adult/Youth finishede this week and "The Dogs" finished in first place.  James Watts leads the men with a high game of 181.  The youth bowlers has Wayne Hall with the top game, a big 209.  Amanda Rykard rolled a 164.

In the NFL Doubles on Tuesdays, the "Packers" beat the "Colts" in the season finale' to win the season.  The best games this outing were rolled by Alex Bell, 264, Les Garringer with a 246, and me with a 244. Mary Rykard led the ladies with a 186 game and Nancy Gray shot a 176.
 
In the Wednesday SuperMixed we have a pitched battle going on .  No less than four teams are in contention to take the final spot for the roll-off to win $4000.00.  The winner will be announced in the next article, so don't miss it!  Better yet, drop by the lanes on May 20, at 7:30 pm to watch the finals.

The big games this time belong to Ecres Ranson with a 290 game.  That earned him an eleven -in-a-row plaque.  Kendrick Williams had the first 10 strikes for a  289, and James Martin hung a ringing nine pin in the ninth frame to bring his game to a 279. The women had Cathy Crumb with the best game, 232 and Teresa Scanlan rolled a 212.  Derick Proulx  had the best series, 699 and Cathy shot a 679 series.
 
Thursday Morning Coffee ladies have the "Pin Breakers" winning the league. Valerie Schultz had the high game with a nice 184 game.  Gerda Strickland was right there with her, bowling a nice 183 game. Valerie had the best series, 517.

In the Friday Rollers, "Team 4" held on to win the season.  Glenn Rykard leads the scoring this time, rolling a 245 game.  Clayton Bailey shot a 223 game and John Cunningham rolled a 215.  LaVerne Holman led the ladies with a 165 game and 438 series.  Glenn Rykard had the best series for the men, 610.

The Saturday AM Youth Bowlers are on their way tro the Satae Championships May 16 and 17 in Columbus.  I'll update you on the season and their accomplishments in the next atricle.  In the mean time, GO STRIKE FORCE!!
