YMCA Summer Camp – Making Memories One Summer at a Time

The Bainbridge-Decatur County YMCA Summer Camps for ages 4-12 will begin Wednesday, May 23rd and will run the entire summer. The daily hours will be from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

YMCA Summer Camp is full of fun and learning for campers. Each week will feature a different recreation/sports theme and will also have arts and learning activities. Campers will have lessons in swimming, tennis, racquetball, volleyball and soccer as a part of the recreation themes.

For the arts activities, Camp Assistant Director Rebecca Kasilus, who has a degree in art education and has worked with arts camps, will offer the campers an arts activity each day.

Emory Smith, Camp Director, will lead the campers in learning about leadership and the YMCA Core Values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

In addition to these activities, Summer Camp will include fun games such as broom hockey, giant slip-n-slide, scavenger hunt, Zip-Zap and lap game. Local field trips will include weekly trips to the library. Campers also will be fed three meals a day plus two snacks.

Registration forms are available at the Y. For more information, call the YMCA at 243-0508.
