Twelve Bainbridge College students were honored on Monday, April 30, for having exemplified work ethics.
BC President Richard Carvajal and Technical Studies Division Chair Adria Belk congratulated the students and presented them with Outstanding Work Ethics certificates prior to a reception in their honor held at the BC main campus.
Being honored for outstanding work ethics is something very worthy, and the certificates and reception are small tokens of how much the students are appreciated for their hard work and efforts, Dr. Carvajal said. “This doesn’t happen unless your teacher sees something special in you,” Dr. Carvajal told the Technical Studies Division students.
The program strives to instill in students positive work ethics in the areas of appearance, attendance, attitude, character, communication, cooperation, organizational skills, productivity, respect and teamwork. Instructors from each technical studies major nominated a student who exhibited these outstanding work ethics as well as outstanding academics.
The 12 Bainbridge College Technical Studies students recognized for Outstanding Work Ethics are, from the left, front row, Anna Long from Bainbridge, Kendra Turner from Cairo, Ashleigh Robinson and LaTasha Longs, both from Bainbridge, and Mynul Reddick from Ochlocknee. In the back row, are Amanda Fuller from Bainbridge, Tiffany Doyle from Donalsonville, Steve Green from Pelham, and Amanda Cash, Mary Katina Dunn, Kimberly Griffin and Kisha Gilcrest, all from Bainbridge.
The 12 students are the following:
· Amanda Cash from Bainbridge is majoring in medical administrative technology and was nominated by Denise Parker, instructor of business administrative technology.
· Tiffany Doyle from Donalsonville is majoring in medical administrative technology and was nominated by Beverly Pollock, instructor of communication skills.
· Mary Katina Dunn from Bainbridge is majoring in business administrative technology and was nominated by Tatyana Pashnyak, associate professor of business and medical administrative technology.
· Amanda Fuller from Bainbridge is majoring in Early Childhood Care and Education and was nominated by Valley Rogers, education program director and assistant professor of education.
· Kisha Gilcrest from Bainbridge is majoring in Medical Administrative Technology and was nominated by Sheila McLendon, assistant professor of technical mathematics.
· Steve Green from Pelham is majoring in industrial maintenance and was nominated by David Sellers, professor of industrial maintenance technology.
· Kimberly Griffin from Bainbridge is majoring in medical administrative technology and was nominated by Ben White, associate professor of computer information systems.
· Anna Long from Bainbridge is majoring in medical administrative technology and was nominated by Kathy Marshall, instructor of accounting.
· LaTasha Longs from Bainbridge is majoring in medical administrative technology and she was nominated by Cindy Dean, assistant professor of medical administrative technology.
· Mynul Reddick from Ochlocknee is majoring in medical administrative technology and was nominated by Kathy Ketterer, assistant professor of business.
· Ashleigh Robinson from Bainbridge is majoring in licensed practical nursing and was nominated by Hope Toole, associate professor of technical mathematics.
· Kendra Turner from Cairo is majoring in medical assisting and was nominated by Sherry Harrison, instructor of medical assisting.
Students attending Bainbridge College Early County site were honored for Outstanding Work Ethics on April 18.
