Operation Clean Sweep ...Drugs Off The Street

Bainbridge Public Safety conducted operation clean-sweep this morning, the arrest phase of a six month drug investigation into street level and open air drug sales in Bainbridge.

The investigation, conducted between November 2011 and April 2012, focused on areas where citizens have made the most complaints of nuisance drug sales.  The operation targeted over 50 illegal drug distributors living in Bainbridge and Decatur County.

Bainbridge Public Safety, along with the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Georgia State Patrol, Georgia Department of Parole and the Georgia Department of Corrections, arrested numerous offenders and seized large amounts of property from the offenders including cars, televisions and refrigerators.
