Southwest Georgia Farm Credit, an agricultural cooperative, will assist with the registration fee for up to three students to attend the Georgia Cooperative Youth Conference, July 16-20 at the Georgia FFA/FCCLA Center in Covington, Georgia.
The objectives of the Conference are to provide cooperative education, heighten awareness of cooperatives in Georgia, explore the cooperative way of doing business and provide leadership development opportunities.
Presented by the Georgia Cooperative Council, Inc., the week-long camp offers sessions on Congress and legislative issues; personality assessments; cooperative principles; and, recreation/educational opportunities, including swimming, canoeing, volleyball and a high rope obstacle course.
Students interested in applying should have the following qualifications:
•Must have leadership abilities
•Must have completed freshman year of high school but not yet attending college
•Has not previously attended the Conference
•Sponsored by a cooperative which pays the registration fee
