It's time for the holidays and now, more than ever, our local businesses need your economic support.  You can help support them through the Bainbridge Buck Program, a program created by the Bainbridge-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce to keep money here locally.

For several years now, the Bainbridge-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce has been offering and promoting Bainbridge Bucks/ "Gift Certificates" to our members and the community during the holidays.  Bainbridge Bucks are just like cash, but are accepted by local participating businesses.

They can be purchased at the Chamber, in $15, $20, $25 and $50 dollar denominations and are just like a gift certificate.  Bainbridge Bucks are only issued after payment has been received therefore; Bainbridge Bucks are just like cash!  This program is offered by the Chamber at no cost to the community, but in the past several years has returned almost $40,000 annually back to our local community.

Many businesses also use this program during the holiday season as a bonus for their employees; however Bainbridge Bucks are also used throughout the year as incentives or as a thank you for a job well done.  While a gift certificate is good to only one business, recipients of Bainbridge Bucks can choose for themselves where they would like to spend them from the many Chamber member businesses where the checks are accepted.  Participating businesses will have a "Bainbridge Buck" logo displayed in their store.

This year the Chamber's Small Business Committee is again working very hard to promote this program and to try and encourage people to "Support our Community by Shopping At Home."   Businesses interested in supporting the Bainbridge Bucks Program should contact Kim Walden at the Chamber at 229-246-4774.
