WCTV Meteorologist at JJE

Excited fourth graders at John Johnson Elementary recently had the opportunity to hear a lesson on weather from WCTV Chief Meteorologist, Mike McCall.

McCall spoke to the students on a wide variety of weather topics including instruments meteorologists use to collect weather data, how to read a weather map, and about how to stay safe in case of severe weather.  He also answered student questions regarding weather, and he even shared his personal story of how he decided to become a meteorologist. 

Mike McCall’s visit to John Johnson was an educational and exciting event that the students and teachers will not soon forget.
