Deep South All-Stars Win 1st

Thirteen Cheerleading Teams from Alabama, Georgia & Florida competed on October 31st in Dothan, AL in the National Peanut Festival Cheerleading Championship 2009.  The Deep South All-Stars are coached by Melynda Murkerson, Nancy Barton and Amanda Courturier.  Deep South is based in Bainbridge, but has girls on each squad from all over Southwest Georgia.

 
The Mini All-Stars, made up of girls 5 & 6 years old, won 1st Place Team in their division.  Coach Murkerson said they were very impressive in their very first competition and she expects more wins to follow. The Youth All-Stars, 4th grade thru 6th grade, also won their division.  Coach Murkerson said these 15 girls are performing stunts way above and beyond thier age level.  She is looking forward to their next competition.
