United Way Will Accept Applications For Agency Funding Through July 31, 2009. Applications

The United Way of Bainbridge-Decatur County will accept applications from area human service agencies and programs for funding from the 2010 Community Campaign. Local agencies and programs are encouraged to complete an application and submit it the Board of Directors by Friday, July 31, 2009. No applications will be accepted after that day.

Applications are available here and also at several local businesses, including Family Bank at 800 East College Street and Southwest Georgia Farm Credit at 305 Colquitt Highway.

The United Way of Bainbridge-Decatur County funded 16 agencies and programs through its 2009 Campaign. Approximately $80,000 will be distributed by year-end to help meet the needs of children and families in our community.

"In today's economy, we know that the needs are greater than ever, and our community has always responded to the challenge to meet that need," said Marjorie Mayfield, 2010 Campaign Chairperson. "Our Board is committed to distributing funds to the agencies and programs that make the greatest impact here in Decatur County."

The 2010 United Way Campaign will kick-off in early September.  Questions regarding the application process should be directed to Chip Davis at 229-246-7039.
