With the State of Georgia Fire Academy closed until further notice, the Bainbridge Public Safety team has been training their newly hired officers in-house.

The new officers suited up on Tuesday, November 18th to learn the ins and outs of Car Fire Safety.  They practiced using foam to extinguish flammable liquids, and to carefully approach a burning vehicle, if need be.

On Monday, November 17th, officers from Bainbridge Public Safety visited the Senior Citizen Center on Donalson Street to inform local seniors about the dangers of home fires and the importance of having an up to date in-home smoke detector.

If any individuals need assistance with their home smoke detectors, officers will be more than happy to come and help install them.  Please call Bainbridge Public Safety at 248.2032 for assistance, and remember – in case of emergency, always dial 9-1-1.
