Mrs Minnie Callaway was voted Senior of the Month for October by her friends at the Senior Center. Ms Minnie as she is affectionately known at the Center is a wonderful full loving and helpful person, always willing to participate in any and all activities we have at the Center.

She is married to Willie Callaway and they have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. That could keep anyone busy but not Ms. Minnie. She also helps take care of her father who seems to be thee light of her life. She's worked in Whigham at the Nursing home for several years but retired from South Western State Hospital in Thomasville.

She's been coming to the center only about a year but already we have all gotten attached to her. She enjoys her church, quilting, taking care of her father, grandchild and interacting with all people. Congratulation Ms. Minnie and we all know you deserve this award.

Well folks, get ready and mark your calendar. The Senior Center will he having a Christmas Dance on Friday, December 19th at the Center. The Dance will begin at 7:00 pm and a band will play for your dancing pleasure until 9:30. Finger food will be served at intermission. The tickets will be $5,00 each and you can get your tickets in advance at the Center. We are all looking forward to seeing you and having a great time.

Thanks to Assistant Fire Chief Doyle Welch from Bainbridge Public Safety for coming to talk to the Seniors about Fire Safety. You were very informative and our Seniors learned a lot from your presentation. Thanks so much.

Our menu for next week is as follows, subject to change:
Monday: Sausage patties, steamed cabbage, green limas and pears
Tuesday: Meatball stew, mixed vegetables, herbed potatoes and tropical fruit.
Wednesday: Lemon pepper chicken, squash with onions, green beans.
Thursday and Friday CLOSED FOR THANKSGIVING
Have a great week.
