The two joined approximately 400 others Interact students on June 21-24 at the Gouth Georgia Technical College in Americus, Georgia.
On Tuesday, Katie and Kylie presented to their club sponsor, the Bainbridge Rotary Club, some of their adventures and the knowledge they gained from the experience.
The purpose of RYLA is to demonstrate Rotary’s respect and concern for youth, provide an effective training experience for selected youth and potential leaders, encourage leadership and recognize them for their service to the community.
While in Americus, Katie and Kylie participated in several activities that provided them insight into their personalities, taught them trust in others, teamwork and how to achieve goals regardless of their fears.
They stated that they brought back several things from RYLA; leadership skills, teamwork, communication skills and most importantly, to see the best in others and themselves.
Katie and Kylie thanked the Bainbridge Rotary Club for sponsoring them.
