The Southern Crushers of Bainbridge (formerly known as Bainbridge Heat) brought home the championship trophy after winning the BYSA ( Blazer Youth Sports Association) 14 and under fast pitch softball Tournament Nov. 8, 2008 in Baconton, Georgia.

They stayed in the winners bracket all day and played only three games.
First game was a 11-1 win over the Heat out of Cairo, Georgia. The second game was a win over the Miller County team 5-0. The Miller County team earned its way back into the Championship game and we then beat them 7-1 to win the championship game.
Southern Crushers only made two errors and gave up 2 runs in 13 innings. This was a good performance all the way around. The ladies have worked hard and now are seeing the results of there work. Their on base percentage was .514.
The coaches were very proud of the girls and thought they play hard and smart. The next tournament will be held in Madison, Florida December 13-14, 2008.
