It's going to be a hot time at Lake Seminole on Saturday, November 22nd. The Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Department is holding a Chili Cook Off Fundraiser that is sure to make your eyes water.

There are approximately 45 teams cooking up some of the best chili in South Georgia. For just $5.00 per person you can taste any or all of them and see if your results are the same as the judges. Want something to go with the chili? Food vendors will have other tasty treats available.

Great entertainment with the Grassy Flat Boys and Rev. Charles Dennis will begin at 11:00 am. and continue until 2:00.

You can participate in the silent auction with over 175 items to bid on. Everyone should find something to bid on. The list includes 2 and 3 night lodging at various Lake Seminole retreats, gift certificates, handmade items, antiques, Christmas decorations and so much more.

A Country Store will feature hundreds of homemade goodies. Jellies, jams, preserves, pickles, relishes and lots more will be available for sale. Great tasty gifts for the holidays. Visit the bake sale and your Thanksgiving desserts will really steal the show this year.

The event begins at 10:00 am and lasts through 2:00 pm and is located at 2682 Highway 253 in Lake Seminole ( intersection of Georgia Highway 374 and 253).

The proceeds of the Chili Cook Off will go toward a new fire truck that the Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Department is in need of.

Great family fun don't miss it!
