As a reinforcement of their social studies objectives, first grade students in Mrs. Watt’s, Ms. Smith’s, Ms. Hall’s and Ms. Barineau’s classes learned about etiquette and manners throughout the week.

Tea attendees Marcus Davis and Pedro Izaguirre serve themselves from the buffet.

As a culminating activity, they dressed in their finest attire and participated in a “Tea” to practice their newly learned skills as they enjoyed delicious finger sandwiches and lemonade. In addition, they learned about proper table setting and made their own place mats, place cards, and napkin rings.
