Hello, Bowlers!

The April edition of the 10 game marathon was won by Leslie Jones.  Jeanette Verelli came in second and James Stevens was third.  There will not be a May 10 game Marathon, but the one for June is still on.  The No-Tap will proceed as usual.  So I’ll see you this Sunday (sign up at 1 pm, bowl at 2 pm) and the Second Sunday in May, also.

Now for the league scores.

The Monday Night Mixed League has “Lucky Strike”, in first place over “YMCA” by 6 points.  Alan Giles had the top game this time, 256, followed by me with a 249. Dot McQuaig and  Mary Rykard each had a 204.  The best series belongs to Allan with a 662.

“Sleven” has a huge lead over “HALO” in the Adult/Youth League.  The best game of this session for adults was rolled by Micael Isler, 257 followed by Glenn Rykard with a 200. The youth bowler who most excelled this time was John Shealy, rolling a  respectable 253.  John also had the best series of the youth bowlers, 633.

The NFL Singles has the Buccaneers over the Colts by 12 points.  Les Garringer had the best game this time, 243 and Nancy Gray shot a 185.

The Wednesday Super Mixed has  “Carter’s Cobras” leading by 10 points over “Go Gettas”. The high game this time belongs to Dan Crumb with a 288 game.  David Beck rolled and Russell Brown each bowled  a 279 game and Tim Donald shot a 266. Michelle Kendrick and Cathy Crumb each shot a 245 game.  Michelle had the best set for the ladies, 670.  David Beck bowled a 758 set

On the Thursday Morning Coffee League, the  “Mind’N the Gutter” team leads over the “Pin Breakers” by 23 points.  The best games this time were rolled by Valerie Schultz; with a 213, and LaVerne Holman, 204.  Valerie also had the best series, 557.

The Friday Night Rollers find “Two Lefties” have extended their lead on  “Over 50” for first place (6 points).  The best games were bowled by Fred Stanley, 200, and Warren McKinney, 193.  Fred also had the best series, 538.  The ladies were led by LaVerne Holman, 176 and Mary Heuring with a 158 game.  The best series for the ladies belongs to LaVerne with a 505.

Our USBC Youth Bowlers have “The Strikers” in the lead over “Halo” by 11 points.  Michael Evans had the best game this time with a 223 and Will Chason rolled a 170 game. Heather Watts shot a 157 game and Lani Jackson shot a 125.

The Summer Season is just around the corner (starting in May).  Be sure to check at the center for starting dates and times.  Now would be a good time to sign up for lessons (Both beginner and advanced), so you’ll be ready for the short summer season, and maybe make some money in some tournaments.

I think I’m caught up, so…

Until next time, Keep on Bowling!
