The number of county residents that have receiving their GED certificates is on the rise and to keep the momentum going a new Learning Center satellite has been added.
Left to right; new students Artavia Parrish and Tamorris Baulkman with LIFE Director, Debbie McIntyre, Mayor Mark Harrell, Director of Adult Education Kay Lynn, site instructor Wendy Smith and new student Cheryl Moore.
Adult Education classes are already being held at Bainbridge College and The Learning Center. The Certified Literate Community Program (LIFE) and Adult Education have partnered with the Friendship House to provide another option for adults wanting to get their GED.
Classes at Friendship House will be held on Monday and Tuesday from 12:30 until 3:30 pm. During an open house on Tuesday, four new students signed up to begin classes to start on Monday October 22nd. If you would like more information please contact Wendy Smith, who is the instructor for the site at 246-2120.
Good luck to all the students and it won't be long until we see them walk across the stage to get that important diploma.
