Mrs. Carla Dobbs Explo Classes at John Johnson Elementary School, along with Mrs. Ann Reynolds, Humane Society Board Member, thought it being the Christmas Season, would be a wonderful time to give to God's little creatures. So the little two-legged creatures at John Johnson Elementary School were asked to help some four-legged creatures.

The students brought in blankets, towels, sheets, cat and dog food, dog
shampoo, cat liter, collars and leashes, and even toys for the aniamls that the Humane Society takes care of and there are lots of them.

According to Brooke Parker, some people can't have or adopt a pet, so this is a way of helping those in the shelter.

Some students also drew posters with an animal theme. Jaylyn Mills
poster shows a dog running away from home going to the shelter where she can be warm, fed, and loved. The Bainbridge Humane Society takes in an average of 189 cats and dogs each month.

If you would like to make a donation or volunteer at the Humane Society please contact them.
