About 7:20 Thursday evening, 3 youth robbed the Country Store on Dothan Road at gunpoint and 5 hours later a 14 year old was in jail.

Three black males entered the store, pointed a gun at the clerk, and demanded money.  The 3 got about $200 and took off on foot across Dothan Road in the direction of Miller Avenue.

Public Safety and Deputies responded and began scouring the area they ran towards, checking behind houses and in utility sheds.

Almost immediately citizens began calling 911 with assistance.  The first tip was that one of the suspects was on Calhoun Street, a block past Broad Street.  This was across the Calhoun Street bridge and 10-12 blocks away.

The scene at Calhoun Street, Godwin Street and 2 suspects brought in for questioning.

Sheriff's Investigator Pat Trolinger was there first and took the suspect into custody.  The next tip took Public Safety and Deputies to Godwin Street to check under a house.

Public Safety Investigator Chris Jordan took charge of the case.  He interviewed the 2 suspects taken into custody.  One was released and the other, a 14 year old juvenile, was arrested.  The other 2 suspects have not yet been arrested.
