Sheriff's Deputies wait for a warrant.

Sheriff's Deputies arrived, secured the scene, and immediately began CPR on Ms Parker.  EMS arrived and continued administering CPR as they raced to the hospital.  Shortly after arrival at the hospital, coroner Peter Bruton pronounced her death.  Deputies on scene immediately called for Investigators Captain Gale Bowyer and Terry Phillips to respond.

Erick Williams, 27, at the home at the time of the shooting, reported the incident to 911 as a suicide.  Sheriff's Investigators have detained the Pelham GA resident for further questioning.  We believe Erick Williams to be a convicted felon and an ex-boyfriend.  Two young children were asleep in another bedroom at the time of the shooting.

Captain Gale Bowyer stated the specific gun used was undetermined at this time because there were several in the home.  He stated the body of Yetta Parker would be transported to the crime lab.  The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested and responded to the scene.  Investigators stood by until shortly after noon waiting for a warrant to be issued before processing the scene.
