BPS Officer Rusty Day turned the corner onto Collier Street and spotted 2 black males coming out from the fence behind Nics Convenience Store.  When they saw him, they turned around and took off running.

This was about 11:30 pm, minutes before the clerks at Nics would be leaving the store.

Officers swarmed the area but were unable to find them.  Officer Lee Whitehead and Cpl Craig Carr walked the area and discovered two jumpsuits, one red and one Camouflage, thrown up against the fence.

These articles of clothing matched the description of what must have been an attempted armed robbery at Nics last Thursday night.  A clerk spotted the two hiding and they fled before any attempt was made.
