Speaker Richardson was not able to fly in to speak to Bainbridge on Wednesday morning due to fog.  Representative Gene Maddox stepped in to address the Chamber sponsored HR-900 New Tax Plan breakfast.  He stated the details are still not finished.

Representative Maddox stated the Speaker says
There are 9,300,000 people in Georgia and less than 2 million are property owners that are paying 80 % of the taxes.  He wants to change the tax code to generate taxes from somewhere else.

Representative Maddox stated the Speaker says
The plan is great deal for Georgia in that  "the taxpayers who are not paying taxes now would have to pay."
