A Bainbridge High School student, 17 year old Daniel Lazano, was arrested and charged with sexual battery on Thursday evening.

School Resource Officer Eric Duke reported the offense to the Sheriff's Office last Friday afternoon.  Investigator Brian Donalson and Captain Liz Croley investigated the incident and the arrest warrant was issued on Thursday.

The assault was against a 15 year old student who had suffered from being groped by the offender who reportedly forced his hand down into her pants.

The School System has recently begun publicizing the fact that offenses within the schools will not be tolerated and should be reported by students and others.  There is a contact form linked from the bottom of our pages to submit information directly to School Resource Officers.
