Two Bainbridge Bearcat touchdowns just before the half, including a pitch that was swatted down (see picture) and run in for a touchdown, gave the Bearcats all they needed with the tough defense that only allowed 7 points.

In the first quarter, Quarterback Rohan Gaines ran one in to take a 7-0 lead.  In the 2nd quarter, the Knights drove the ball down the field to tie the score at 7-7.

With 3:30 left in the half, Deyontrel Gibson ran the ball in from the 7 yard line and the Bearcats took a 14-7 lead.

One minute later, Jonathan Warren made a great defensive play swatting down a pitch at the 25, picked it up, and ran it in for a touchdown.  A couple of plays later, an interception gave the Bearcats an opportunity with the clock winding down for the half but an Upson-Lee interception close to the goal took us into the half up 21-7.

In the 2nd half, the wet conditions and a tough Bearcat defense did not allow a touchdown.  Twice the Bearcats were driving but lost the ball on fumbles. The Bearcat defense stopped the Knights each time.

The Cats drove down to the 12 yard line and with 9:30 left in the game, a Keenan Adams field goal gave us the 24-7 final score.
