Late in the first quarter Westside Macon scored to take the lead at 7-0. In the 2nd, a long pass took the Bearcats inside the 10 yard line. After stalling, Keenan Adams kicked a field goal making the score to 7-3.
Westside drove the ball down the field but the Bearcat defense stiffened, knocking down a pass in the endzone. Westside then missed their 2nd attempted fied goal in the game.

Another long pass to the 17 yard line put the Bearcats in position to score again before the half. The Cats were not able to take advantage but did kick a field goal to bring the score to 7-6 at the half.
In the 3rd qurater, with 4th and 14, a completed pass on a fake punt gave the Bearcats a first down at Westside's 33. On the next play, a 26 yard run up the middle to the 6 yard line put us in great position but the next 3 plays resulted in a loss.
An attempted field goal failed, or did it?
Certainly it did not effect the outcome of the game, but for some reason it caught my eye and I looked closer.
Isn't that ball behind the crossbar? I just know if I were kicking, I would want to know that I really had made that field goal. Perhaps someone has a clearer shot than I?
Westside's 67 yard pass play for a touchdown later in the 3rd quarter put them in front 14-6.
Minutes later a Westside pass was intercepted to stop a drive and the 3rd quarter emded.
In the 4th quarter, Westside punted us down inside the 3 yard line and a 2 plays later on a mishandled lateral scored a safety.
With about 5 minutes to play, the score was 16-6. Westside scored twice more for a final score of 30-6.
