Deputies responded to a call on Tuesday night from a Plum Nelly Circle resident saying a woman had been abused and run from her home.

Sheriff's Deputies Anthony Mims and Jason Williams responded.  It was reported that she had been beaten earlier and feared for her life.

She hid under her trailer (at left) until it was dark enough for her to feel safe to escape from her abuser and ran to a neighbor's house and called for help.  EMS transported her to the hospital.

When Deputies Anthony Mims and Jason Williams arrived, they reported the suspect, Carson Brandon Givens, had barricaded himself in the home.  When asked, the suspect stated he had a weapon which raised the level of response.

As other deputies responded, Deputies Mims and Williams were able to talk the subject out of the home and take him into custody.  EMS checked out Mr Givens and turned him over to Cpl Brad Lambert and Deputy Spencer Mock.

32 year old Carson Brandon Givens was charged with Aggravated Assault-Family Violence, Kidnapping, False Imprisonment and Terroristic Threats.  The case was turned over to Investigator Melonie Woods.
