Thursday afternoon, in a special called meeting, County Commissioners hired Tom Patton as our new County Administrator. Tom Patton comes to us from the position as City Manager of Cornelia Georgia. Mr Patton was on hand at them meeting and will begin work Friday at 8am September 1.
Commissioner Butch Mosely stated "This is one of the few things we have been unanimous on in the last year. Everybody was in agreement that Mr Patton was our first choice." Commissioner Mosely voiced confidence in Mr Pattons ability to lead the county in a positive direction.
