Anthony Terrell McKay, 22 years old, has been identified as the culprit that fled from his Black Jack home on Tuesday. A chase, including a long swim across a lake, and a search into the night failed to find him.
Anthony McKay has been named as a participant in the Sunday night's armed home invasion. The search for McKay is continuing today.
As reported on August 27, Sheriff's Investigators received confessions from 2 of the perpetrators. The 2 twenty year olds are identified as Bradley Terrell Scott of 1110 Bethel Road and Jamario Montrell Smith of 804 Martin Street. They have been charged with armed robbery by intimidation, kidnapping, theft by receiving stolen property and obstruction.
Investigators called to the scene found much more than the rifles first found. Behind an access door leading under the home, they recovered an AK47, a 30X30 plus 3 handguns. In addition, they found a car title in the name of William Johnson, the victim of the home invasion, plus coins that were stolen from the Johnsons.
After McKay swam the lake with Captain Nix in pursuit, he ran another 100 yards and jumped a gate to Florence Drive. Deputies, Pardons and Parole and GSP assisted in the search.
