On Thursday night at about 11:30 pm, a road safety check point on Planter Street by Bainbridge Viper Team, Georgia State Patrol and Decatur County Sheriffs PACE team, resulted in an arrest for possession of cocaine with intent.

In one stop, Sharon Perkins, 39, of 128 Black Jack Road was arrested by GSP Walt Landrum for DUI Drugs, for the second DUI in 2 weeks for her.

The passenger, Terrance Baker, was acting nervous and requested to step out of the vehicle.  When GSP Brian Palmer frisked him, he felt a container rolled up in Baker's right pant leg and asked "what is this".  Terrance Baker told the Trooper that it was a pill bottle with crack cocaine.

GSP Palmer and Viper member Demetric Stubbs retrieved the crack cocaine and arrested Terrance Baker, 25, of 1626 Bethel Road for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

In October of 2008, Terrance Baker was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession with intent within 1000 ft of a housing project and possession of drug related objects.
