$30,000 Bust by Public Safety

Public Safety took down a couple of big drug dealers Tuesday night and seized over $25,000 in powder cocaine and over $5,000 in cash.

Investigator Alton Brock stated they had received information that Chedric Brown was bringing in large amounts of cocaine.  They ascertained that Chedric had an expired drivers license and was also wanted in Franklin County Florida.

About 11:30 pm Tuesday night, Public Safety Officer Gary Hines spotted Chedric Brown driving.  He called Investigator Brock and made the stop at Alice and Tallahassee Highway.  When Officer Hines approached the vehicle, he spotted several open containers of what appeared to be alcohol in the back seat area.

Investigator Alton Brock, Officer Collin Hastey and Trooper Walt Landrum responded to the stop.  In a search of the passenger, Gregory Jenkins, Trooper Landrum discovered over 235 grams of powder cocaine concealed in his pants.  Monique Arnett was a passenger in the back seat.  She had possession of a small amount of marijuana.  Over $5,000 in cash was confiscated from Brown.
