On Saturday night approximately 11:30 pm, Lt. Chip Nix & Capt. Gale Bowyer responded to the home of Shari Griffin at 2371 Spring Creek Road.  They had received drug complaints about the residence.

At the house were a number of persons including Shari Griffin, Edwin Wingate, Jerry Harrell, Shelby Roney, Keisha Parish (this is not Kesha Parish, local Gospel singer) and Cherie Benton.  Deputies held Edwin Wingate because of a warrant out of Seminole County.  Everyone else but owner Shari Griffin left in a hurry because deputies had no reason to hold them at that point.

The owner, Shari Griffin, gave Lt. Nix and Capt. Bowyer consent to search her residence. During their search they found evidence they had been manufacturing methamphetmine.  Nix and Bowyer also found a large quantity of methamphetamine, altered pseudoephedrine pills and other drug related items.

Shari Leigh Griffin, age 44, and Edwin Olin Wingate, age 27, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent, possession of drug related objects and manufacturing methamphetamine.

Lt. Chip Nix stated the investigation is continuing and they expect to make several more arrests very soon.
