"We're going to tear some stuff up" City Manager Chris Hobby stated.  "It's going to be a mess" declared Mayor Mark Harrell Tuesday night.

They were describing the upcoming Phase 2 Sewer Project, Douglas East, that is planned to be under construction next spring.  Council member Roslyn Palmer stressed the need to alert homeowners.  But even with a letter to homeowners, Council members agreed they will need to brace themselves for the storm from homeowners.

Some Sewer Discussion

The engineering services for the Phase 2 Sewer Project, Douglas East, was approved to be provided by York & Associates Engineering for $496,852, or 12% of project, whichever is lower.

The project will involve the construction of sewer to serve residents along Lakewood Drive, Lake Douglas Road, Leggett Drive, North Twin Lakes, Thomas Drive, College Road, Ashton Way, and Knollwood Circle.  The sewer project's estimated construction cost is $4.14 million.
