On Wednesday afternoon, the Sheriff's Department Swat team executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of Broughton Street in search of a stolen SKS semi-automatic rifle.

33 second video of the scene

Sheriff's Investigator Chip Nix made an arrest in the Monday Brinson-Colquitt Highway burglary where 4 firearms were stolen.  30 year old Elex Miller Worlds of Lake Drive, Bainbridge was arrested and charged with burglary.  2 of the stolen firearms were recovered from Mr Worlds.

Investigator Nix developed information on the location of the Norinco SKS semi-automatic rifle with a 30 round magazine.  With the dangerous nature of the gun and knowledge of the felon at that residence, the swat team went in.  A search of the home did not find the weapon.

Investigator Chip Nix is following up other leads on the SKS semi-automatic rifle.
