James Butler to be Honored

Soon, James Butler's jerseys from the NY Giants, Georgia Tech and Bainbridge High School will hold a place of honor on the walls of BHS.  The announcment was made at a Board of Education meeting recently.

His parents, James and Nadine Butler, Sr., were in attendance for the announcement.

Derrick Cox, a Fellowship of Christian Athletes representative, gave James the highest praise saying, "Athletics is important to him, but his character is more important to him than anything." 

Derrick Cox credited Chip Arial for finding the jersey that James wore at BHS, along with his Georgia Tech and NY Giants jersey.  The framed jerseys will be presented to the school during halftime of the first game of the the season, aptly against Cairo.

Mr Butler will be holding the first James Butler Celebrity Charity Weekend on Saturday June 28.

It is hosted by the James Butler DREAM Program which focuses on mentoring, education, and youth leadership.  The weekend will include a free youth football clinic.  See More
