At 7:16 pm, Corporal Jon Harrison received a call in reference to a fight in the 1100 block of Broughton St. Subjects were reported to have a knife and one had a gun. Corporal Harrison spoke to Barbara McClean who said that she pulled up and dropped off some kids. Barbara said that as she started pulling off and Kizzie Brown threw a brick at her car.
Kizzie Brown said Barbara got out of the car and said I don't care what none of you bxxxxxx say about me. I got a gun and will shoot all you mxxxxx fxxxxxx bxxxxxx. Kizzie said she grabbed a brick and threw it at Barbara's car as she was leaving.
Corporal Harrison spoke to 3 witnesses who reported
1) Barbara pulled up and dropped off her kids and everybody across the street started yelling at her. Then Kizzie Brown threw a brick at the car.
2) Barbara got out of the car and said if yall stand in a line I will shoot all you mxxxxx fxxxxxx bxxxxxx.
3) Barbara got out of the vehicle and said that she had a trigger finger that was itching and would shoot all of them.
A water gun was found in the car.
Corporal Harrison along with all of Bainbridge Public Safety have been dealing with problems and fights between these subjects and others. All attempts to resolve this problem have not been successful. Corporal Harrison placed Kizzie Brown under arrest for criminal trespass and placed Barbara McClean under arrest for terroristic threats.
May 4
At 9:28 pm Captain Robert Humphrey responded to Water Street in reference to a male (Jermaine) being assaulted by four or five females with sticks. He found a large group of people all yelling obscene language and Jermaine with his face bleeding. He then spotted Latoya Henry Henry holding a wooden board in one hand and a large knife in the other. Capt Humphrey instructed her to put the weapons down but Latoya started backing up and would not drop them so he had to take them from her.
Two females, Latoya Latoya Henry and Ashley Campbell, continued threating each other. Latoya was arrested. After talking with Jermaine and others involved, it was learned that Jermaine has a child by both Latoya and Ashley. Both women were angry that he was dating both women.
Earlier Latoya was with Jermaine at the petro on Dothan Road and Ashley pulled up. This turned into a fight between Latoya and Ashley. Jermaine and Latoya returned to Water Street. Ashley got four or five other women and they rode by Jermaine's house and words were exchanged. Ashley and her friends got out of the car and a verbal fight between Ashley and Latoya once again became physical.
Jermaine stated that he tried to get between the two and was hit in the face. Humphrey arrested Ashley for disorderly conduct. More family members arrived and Latoya's mother was arrested for her conduct. There were numerous other females that were with Ashley and were involved in the altercation but were not arrested due to conflicting statements.
May 3
At 12:14 pm, Officer Collin Hastey was dispatched to Washington Street in reference to an assault. A female reported to him that the previous night she met Charlie Johnson at the budget inn to spend the night together. About 2:30 am, she stated that Charlie got mad and punched her in the face. They began to fight and he busted a gin bottle and held her down and began to cut her with it. Officer Hastey observed several cuts on her face in straight rows. There was also similar cuts on the back of her neck and her lower back.
She stated that she tried to call for help but he would stop her from using the phone. She did try to dial (0) for the attendant and lay the phone down, but no one ever came to the room. Charlie continued to keep her against her will until morning when he took a shower and she ran home and called the police.
Offficer Hastey went to budget inn motel and spoke to the cleaning personnel. They stated that they had already cleaned the room. When asked if they noticed anything suspicious they told officer Hastey that there was blood everywhere. There was two blood soaked shirts in the trash, the sheets were bloody and there was broken glass everywhere.
The shirts and the neck of the broken gin bottle was collected for evidence. The case was turned over to Investigator Alton Brock.
May 5
A resident of Ronnie Lambert Road was in the middle of taking a shower when the water stopped suddenly. The resident stated that he went to the electric meter powering his residence and found that the copper wiring was missing that goes from the meter to his well. The value of the wiring about $80.00.
May 3
A brother and sister fight resulted in 911 dispatching officers to the scene. When officers arrived they spoke with the brother, Calvin Anderson who stated that he and his sister got into a fight over a cell phone. He stated that things cooled off but then he walked past her while she was sitting on the hood of a car and she kicked him. Calvin stated that he grabbed her legs and pulled her off the hood causing her to hit her head and shoulders on the ground. At that point the sister, Veronica Anderson, got in her car and went to the hospital. Officer Mills took Calvin and they went to the hospital to check on Veronica. Veronica told the officers the same story. Both Veronica and Calvin were advised that if one of them wanted to press charges that both would have to be arrested. Veronica decided that she wanted Calvin arrested so both were taken into custody. They both were later bonded out.
May 1
A migrant work house was being checked for incoming workers expected in about 2 weeks. The house on Cooler Road was found stripped of copper. Approximately $500 of copper tubing and pipes and shower heads were stolen. Sheriff's Investigator Terry Phillips is investigating.
May 1
DNR Officer Tony Cox stopped Anthony Roberts and Justin Cogland to do a boat safety check. He spotted a cigarette pack floating on the water near their boat and checked it. He found a small bag of marijuana, arrested them, and brought them to Hales Landing. Sheriff's Investigator Chip Nix met them and Anthony Roberts told him the marijuana was his. Deputy Steve Black transported him to jail.
