City Manager Chris Hobby stated several problem railroad crossings are scheduled to be repaired with a more permanent solution.  The Dothan Road, at Dollar Farm Products, and West Street, south of John Johnson School, crossings are set for repair in July.

Dothan Road RR Crossing

City Manager Chris Hobby stated the DOT had inspected several of the railroad crossings in Bainbridge.  DOT then requested CSX upgrade the crossings and CSX replied they will plan to do so in July.

West Street RR Crossing

Mr Hobby stated the crossings will be upgraded to concrete crossings eliminating the areas that create problems.  He stated the concrete crossing should be a level surface.

A bid of $495,395 for the new Bainbridge High School Water Well was approved.  The other 3 bids were from $519,000 to $606,000.  Mr Hobby reminded Council this is part of the High School project and the Board of Education will be paying for it.

Adopted Resolution-Solid Waste Management Plan
This plan is state mandated and had been approved by the Georgia Dept. of Community Affairs

Adopted Resolution-Land And Water Conservation Fund
City is applying for matching DNR funding of $100,000 for the
recreation complex being built at Cox and Hubert Dollar Drive.

Religious and charitable organizations exempt from federal taxation pursuant to section 501(c)(B) of the IRS Code may conduct yard sales on the property of the organization or at other locations within the city with the expressed written consent of the owner of the premises where the yard sale is being conducted.
