Sheriff's Investigators developed information prompting several weeks of surveillance on two methamphetamine manufacturers and dealers.  After intense surveillance on Saturday afternoon, Sheriff's Investigators took them down.

Arrests on Hwy 27 south, 40 seconds

Dana and John Christopher Roberts were under surveillance by Major Wendell Cofer as they purchased meth ingredients in Bainbridge at the Wal-Mart and a local drug store.

Saturday afternoon, Investigator Pat Trolinger followed the pair for about 5 hours in Tallahassee purchasing meth precursors at 3 drug stores there.

The married couple then proceeded back towards Bainbridge on Highway 27.  They crossed the state line into Georgia about 8 pm and were stopped by Deputy Vince Edmond.  Investigators Major Wendell Cofer, Lt Chip Nix and Investigator Pat Trolinger, Captain Cecilia Willis and Captain Gail Bowyer then moved in.

Investigators confiscated 4-5 grams of meth, worth about $100/gram, and precursors for producing more meth and an amount of cash.

Investigators determined the couple had a meth lab set up at the Days Inn on Tallahassee Highway in Bainbridge.  Captain Gale Bowyer and Sgt Justin Bedwell secured the room at the motel.
