As children grow, parents are always proud of their children and hope they have instilled what it takes for them to become good people with good character.
Often, parents don't get to see or even hear about how their children handle the situations that life puts in their path, unless it is negative. Marjorie Smith is one of the lucky ones who was able to see her two daughters in action and know she had done something right.
Friday afternoon, Marjorie and daughters 21 year old Tiffany and 14 year old Tara were shopping. The girls were walking ahead of her when they suddenly stopped. Laying on the ground, in a clear plastic bag, was bundles of $100 bills.

The girls picked up the money and discovered by a deposit slip that it belonged to the store they were about to enter. There was $4,000 was in the bag, according to the slip. Without hesitation, Tiffany and Tara hurried inside with the money. They spoke with a customer service representative who in turn called for a manager and the $4,000 was back where it belonged.
Marjorie said that the girls never hesitated about taking the money back inside to give it back to the store. "The thought of them keeping the money never even occurred to them." Marjorie said. "Instinctively they knew the right thing to do, and proud Mom walking behind them grinning, watching them do the right thing.
Both Tiffany and Tara plan to go into the field of education. Tiffany is a 2006 Bainbridge High School graduate and is currently a sophomore at UGA. Tara is a freshman at Bainbridge High School.
