Daniel Hernandez Bello, his wife and 3 hispanic males were arrested and charged under the RICO, Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations, Act by Sheriff's Deputies on Friday evening. Deputies also seized over $50,000 in assets in the raid.
Captain Chip Nix (speaking in video) stated a Sheriff's Office investigation into manufacturing fraudulent permanent residency cards, social security cards and birth certificates by Daniel Hernandez Bello led to the raid.
Sheriff's Captain Nix and Captain Gale Bowyer led a team of investigators, Redell Walton, Julian Crowder and Jason Williams along with Deputies Vince Edmond and Humberto Dean in the execution of a search warrant at about 8 pm.
Captain Nix stated that inside the residence they discovered the computers, paper stock and laminate machines used in the manufacture of fraudulent documents along with a number of fraudulent cards.
Deputies seized a number of assets at the 137 Melissa Drive residence, off Dothan Road, with an estimated value of over $50,000. Included were 3 trucks, a large work trailer, 2 big screen TV's, a 4 wheeler and a jet ski.
Arrested along with Daniel Hernandez Bello and Gladys Hernandez Bello were Jose Antonio, Eric Ortiz and Solomon Segura. They worked as installers for Carolina Carport.
They admitted they were not legally in the United States.
Captain Nix stated the investigation remains open as they will follow the trail of social security numbers seized from the residence which may produce additional charges of identity theft.
