TRACO, located in the Decatur County Industrial Park on Highway 27 north, is immediately suspending opeations.  There are 70 people employed at the plant.  TRACO plans to maintain a minimum staff on site.

Released from its Cranberry Township, PA headquarters;

Bainbridge Ga facility
TRACO has announced that it will suspend operations at its Bainbridge, Georgia plant and idle the facility due to the continued downturn in the new construction and residential markets in the Southeast, according to Matt Cribari, Chief Operating Officer (CEO). Products manufactured at this facility were directly affected by the drastic reductions in new home and light commercial construction. In the interim, these products will be produced in the TRACO Johnson City, Tennessee Plant.

TRACO manufactures a complete line of custom-designed residential, retail, architectural, commercial rated windows, doors, window wall, storefront, entrances, impact resistant hurricane windows and doors and blast windows.  The company’s three manufacturing facilities, totaling approximately 2 million square feet, are located in Cranberry Township, PA (north of Pittsburgh), Johnson City, TN and Bainbridge, GA.
