This morning Public Safety is searching for Rayvon Moten and Deon Johnson, both 18 years old, for aggravated assault with a gun.

Witnesses reported to Officer Greg Brown that 3 black males approached a young man and his younger sister inside the store showed a gun and told them "you ready to do this xxit, you ready to get it over with xxtch".

A few minutes later witnesses reported that the 3 punks were outside the store.

They began approaching another individual and then shot at him.  They then took off running behind the store into the area of toward Hall and Decatur Streets.  The 3rd individual involved has not yet been identified.

Investigator Esquivel collects evidence at the scene
Officers and Sheriff's Deputies flooded the area in search of the suspects to no avail.  In addition, checking the regular hangouts of the 2 punks also met with no success.

Investigator Mark Esquivel arrived and took over the investigation of the case.

Our arrests and reports include a Jan, 2010 arrest of Deon Johnson of 1707 Stinson Street for underage consumption.

Rayvon Moten, however, has distinguished himself as a punk at a young age.  Moten's address is listed as 114 Margaret Gaines Road.

Moten pled guilty to the January 2009 Slough Loop burglary where he and his cronies stole over $1600 of items from the home.

In December of 2008, Moten was reported to have tried to jump on a young man in the 700 block of Broughton Street.  The individual reported to Public Safety Officer Rusty Day that they had jumped him a while back, beat him up, and took his money.

In September of 2008, Moten arrested for burglary and criminal interference with government property by Investigator Chris Jordan.

If you have information on their whereabouts, please call BPS Investigator Esquivel at 229-248-2043 or use the tip form linked below.
