The BHS Students Against Destructive Decisions, SADD, participated in a Sheriff's and State Patrol Road Check on Friday evening.

Sheila Taylor, BHS sponsor for SADD along with Heather Savage, stated the grant for the SADD program has been renewed for the second year.  The $2,000 grant is from the Governors Office of Highway Safety.

Approximately 35 9th through 12th graders are in the club.  She said students are able to see a side of law enforcement they are not typically able to see.  Students also learn the reality of the need to drive safely and communicate this to their peers.

Ms Taylor stated she appreciates the tremendous support the program receives from the Sheriff's Department.
