"I'm Dying" Mildred told 911 operators Monday night.  EMS and Public Safety responded, Again.

Mildred calling 911 from a pay phone is a regular occurrence, at least several times each week.  Sometimes she is dying, sometimes somebody has hit her or maybe she has hit someone with a board.  Public Safety is always dispatched and most times EMS is as well, so they all know her well.  Once in a great while, she gets to go and spend a night the hospital.

I spoke with Mildred on Tuesday night about 3 am during another "emergency".

Several minutes with Mildred

I guess you might call Mildred one of our street people.  Most nights you can probably find her, with others, hanging out at the "burn barrel" on the corner of Cemetary and Helen Streets.

There is not a whole lot known about Mildred by most that deal with her.   The common knowledge seems to be that she is a highly educated woman and in the past, successful.  One person told me she had been an excellent seamstress, who placed her own label in the clothes she made.
