Friday afternoon Seminole County Sheriff Heath Elliott spotted a vehicle parked in a suspicious area.  He called for the assistance of the SW Georgia Drug Task Force.

With a second car now there, it appeared the occupants noticed they were being watched and took off.  they headed into Decatur County with Seminole Deputies and Task Force Agents following them.  The 2 cars split up, one turning around and heading back into Seminole.

The other vehicle traveled into Decatur County on Bethel Road.  Seminole Deputies called for Sheriff's assistance to make a stop of the vehicle since it was in Decatur.  Sheriff's Sgt Jason Williams and Cpl Michael Logue made the stop at Zorn Road.

A search of the vehicle by deputies and K-9 Koti, did not reveal any drugs but deputies discovered almost $5,000 in cash.  Public Safety Chief Investigator Frank Green and Investigator Alton Brock also interviewed the 2 subjects.

In the meantime, the other vehicle had turned back around and headed back into Decatur County with Seminole Investigators and the Task Force following the car.  As they got past Cyrene Road, the car quickly sped up to put some distance between them and the deputies.  They turned off into a church grounds, jumped out and fled into the wooded area.

Tracking dogs from Apalachee Correctional Institute in Sneads FL were requested.  The dogs arrived and quickly got on the track.  Over a couple of miles they followed the suspects path along Highway 84, crossing the highway back and forth a couple of times and over a fence.

The dogs tracked directly to a mobile home on Elijah Lane.  The occupants of the home stated that 2 males had come to their home earlier and asked for a ride.  They said the 2 pulled out a wad of cash and paid them for a ride to Sonic on Tallahassee Highway.
