Montravious Jones died after being struck by a train on Wednesday afternoon.

Montravious was deaf and was unaware of the approaching train.  The engineer could do nothing but blow the train's horn as he watched the 17 year old walk in front of him.  Montravious was walking from Calhoun Street, behind Hutto McIver Homes, across the old woodyard and in front of the train.

The youth, in obvious pain at the scene, was treated and transported to the hospital.  Montravious was life flighted to Tallahassee where he died from his injuries.  He resided at 1518 Troupe Street.
