Bainbridge Public Safety Cpl Brian Boyett and Officer Shannon Dunaway were named the Montford Lynn Peace Officers of the Year were by Jeff Findley, publisher of the Post Searchlight, at the Chamber of Commerce Awards Ceremony on Thursday evening.

The two officers shared the award for their actions in March of 2011 when they discovered a 104 year old woman sitting in the midst of her smoke filled home. The 2 officers got her out of the home saving her life.
