Bainbridge Public Safety Officer Terry Pait spotted a vehicle run a stop sign at Calhoun and Albany Road on Wednesday afternoon and initiated a stop. The car kept going and turned onto Back Street. The driver continued a bit, pulled over and jumped out and ran into the wooded area.

Officer Ashley McMillan, who was riding with Pait, jumped out and took off after him. The fleeing suspect ran through the woodyard and into the Hutto McIver Apartments where he thought he got away.
The car came back to Brittany Hutto, and along with the description of the suspect, BPS Investigators in the area knew who the suspect probably was-Fred Wright.
They located him in Hutto McIver, where he was positively identified by Officer Pait, and located the clothes he had just changed out of, in his apartment.
Fred Edward Wright, 29, of 2206 Fowlstown Road was charged with failure to stop at stop sign, fleeing or attempting to elude police officer, driving without license, no insurance and obstruction of an officer.
In March of 2006, Sheriff's Deputies busted Fred Wright with a a large quantity of cocaine and marijuana charged him with intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana.
