Decatur County Commissioners met in a work session on Tuesday aafternoon and discussed a number of issues.
Records Storage
A tentative records storage action calendar was handed out(below) and the issues discussed.
The video, if nothing else, is enlightening regarding Commission process.
Commissioner Oliver Sellers stressed the need to quit "feeding the beast" and try to get more departments on electronic schedules.

When asked who was doing electronic storage for current records, Finance Director Carl Rowland stated he thought the Clerk Of Court is the only department, and included the administrative offices were not, saying "It's a funding issue".
In the end, it is anticipated the only near solution is they check on storage at the old west Bainbridge Middle School, and hopefully utilize it for the boxes.
Finance Committee Update reports for the first 6 months the county is at 49% of expenditure totals.
Road Improvement Update (GAB)
The following is an estimated cost breakdown of crushing or purchasing 18,000 tons of concrete to have a stock pile of GAB.
Option I - Contract to Crush

Policy Review on Use of Cloud Livestock Facility
After some discussion on making the facility available to all, a fee structure will be put together and presented to commissioners.
