A driver flew down West Street on Sunday afternoon at 90 mph, going from side to side, almost striking a Bainbridge Public Safety patrol car head-on, barely missing a number of other vehicles including a motorcycle. She finally stopped only after her vehicle was damaged and not driveable after striking another vehicle in front of John Johnson School.

Tashina Rae Watson began her mad dash on West Street somewhere north of Shotwell Street. She ran the Shotwell light and almost struck a vehicle there and continued on. She ran the light at Louise Street and forced an oncoming BPS patrol car to veer off the road and out of her way. She then drove her white Expedition in the center of the roadway sideswiping a vehicle.
Now with Public Safety Officers Ken Williams and Cpl Craig Carr behind her, she continued south on West Street. In the area John Johnson School, she veered into the oncoming lane forcing a white Lincoln Towncar to swerve in an attempt to miss her. Tashina Watson struck the Towncar, damaging it significantly and leaving it setting in the grass beside the road. Augusta Williams of St Petersburg, FL was transported by EMS to the hospital for treatment.
Tashina's white Expedition was also significantly damaged and she was able to make it only another hundred yards before the vehicle stopped at the side of the roadway. Cpl Carr and Officers Williams then dealt with the very combative woman, initially believed suffering from an overdose, who was secured and then transported to the hospital.
